Reuters Good Grammar Yes, CBC Good Balance No

That aside, CTV News is also reporting on Harper's ultimatum here.

The ever-balanced CBC has no mention of Harper's comments on Afghanistan as of the time of this posting. In fact, this is the top story:

What bias?

Update: The following media outlets of reported on Harper's press conference as of 6:51PM EST: Reuters, CTV, Bloomberg, The Associated Press, CanWest, Fox News, The Toronto Star (Buried Story, Of Course), The Canadian Press, The National Post.

The following major outlets have still not reported on the press conference: CBC, and the Globe and Mail.

At least there's one lefty who openly believes that political bias should inform news reporting.

The CBC could not pass up a chance of headlining Harper 'insulting' an ethnic community.

Lefties know there's a bias. They just sling around words like racism and hypocrite to try and throw everybody off track.

Not to mention, that Greek "insult" episode is one of the most childish events in Parliament ever. Anyone outside of kindergarten understood what Harper meant with his statement. Yet the CBC considers it a story. Bias galore.

Like the CBC the G&M is basically leftist, not believable shit dispenser.

The only question about the bias of Canadian media is what to do about it. Even keeping track of the crap that comes off the newswires would be a full time job. Add in the product of the Dead trees bunch and the various broadcasters and your talking about an army.

As long as they feel that's where their bread is buttered they will keep going back to that larder.
It's laziness, it's ignorance and it's self serving. It makes a mockery of the concept of journalistic integrity.

In the case of CBC the actual audience comprises less than 10% of the viewing public and yet benefits from the largess of 100% of the tax paying public.

So whether you look at it as an ethical problem or a fiscal problem the CBC needs to be overhauled.
That can be accomplished by making it a political issue that cannot be ignored.

In the case of CTV/Globe media their soft spot is the sponsors.

I'm sure you can figure out what makes them tick and how to put it to them.

BTW Mike - I see that the trolls follow the same pattern here as they do everywhere else where they are tolerated!

CBC isn't going down without a fight.

And by "fight" I mean, doing everything in their power, utilizing every asset in their organization, to turn this election into a Dion victory.

It's an all or nothing approach since the process of doing so will be further evidence of the need for their abolishment should they fail in their endeavors.

I think the CBC should be a public broadcaster.

(by "public" I mean it should be listed on the TSX, VSX and MSX etc. and left to its own devices.)
